This is the much-renowned and easily identifiable stage version of the animated Disney film, complete with dancing forks and candlesticks. Andrea McArdle plays Belle, with Steve Blanchard as you-know-who. The choreography and high quality acting will entertain adults, while the whimsical and familiar subject matter enchants children. The costumes are so exquisite and detailed that they garnered a Tony in 1998. The music by Alan Menken will keep feet tapping during (and after) the show. This play is performed at the Palace Theater, which was once frequented by the Marx Brothers and even Harry Houdini. A great family activity while in the Big Apple.
